As human beings, we all find value in making a change and seeing that we are cause over our environment. As PT's, we get the distinct advantage of being able to make immediate cause and effect changes with our patients. All of us "love helping others"-- it's what we do. And when we look beneath the surface and investigate WHY we love helping patients, I believe the reason is that we can see an immediate cause and effect relationship that provides pain relief to the patient and gets them participating in lost activities. As a Functional Manual Therapist, I do that approximately 15 times each visit, so I think through the canvas of the body, I find motivation/love in the work place. I can then transfer that energy into my private life. We create change in others daily and then use it to fuel decisions we make in our social/personal lives.

Amy Arundale, PT, DPT... I have always wanted to work in the soccer. But not just any soccer, I want to be an academy physio in the English Premier League. I grew up playing soccer, watching soccer, living and breathing soccer. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to play in college as well as in the Scottish Women’s Premiere League.
