Reverse Pivot Shift Test
To test for ACL tears
“Hip is flexed at 20 to 30 degrees, knee is started in flexion 45 or 90 degrees and while maintaining a valgus stress at the knee and in some cases an anterior force on the fibula head and the proximal aspect of tibia while extending the knee typically at 30 to 10 degrees of flexion the tibia will sublux anteriorly. Most effective to assess Gr III (total) tears of the ACL”[1]
